Stage 30

You cross Galician farmland and descend to the dam at Portomarín, partly rebuilt uphill after the old town was flooded. Allow about 5 hours 30 minutes on tracks that grow busier with fellow pilgrims.

Portomarín has a long main street of bars and albergues above the reservoir. Book ahead in peak season - beds go quickly from here to Santiago.
